The Brookville-Seminary Valley Civic Association, Inc. (BSVCA) is an association of citizens over 18 years of age who live within the boundaries described below and pay annual dues as described below.

The BSVCA serves an area that is bounded generally in a square as follows:

From a point commencing at the intersection of a line extended from Polk Avenue to North Van Dorn Street; extending southward to Holmes Run (excluding the Willow Run Apartments and Brookville Town Homes); proceeding eastward along Holmes Run (including James Marx All Veterans Park) to Jordan Street; continuing northward along Jordan Street (excluding Fox Chase Shopping Center and Fox Chase Apartments) to Taney Avenue; then westward along Taney Avenue to Latham Street; then northward along Latham Street to Polk Avenue; then westward along Polk Avenue to North Van Dorn Street.  These boundaries include the KMS Townhouses on the left side of Richenbacher Avenue and the single‑family homes on both sides of the same street.

The membership year runs from January 1 through December 31, and the annual dues are $10 per BASIC member (ages 18 to 64) and $5 per SENIOR member (age 65 and over).  More than one individual per household can be a member provided that the applicable annual dues are paid; for example, a husband and wife under the age of 65 would pay a total of $20 (two BASIC memberships).

The BSVCA utilizes these dues for several purposes, including funding the Children’s Holiday Party in December and Neighborhood Night Out in the summer.  Your dues also are used to pay for printing the quarterly newsletters, promotional materials for the Taney Mile Long Yard Sale and special events like the City Council Candidates’ Forum, and maintenance of the BSVCA website.

The BSVCA seeks to promote community development and to keep its members informed of issues in the area and in the City that may affect their quality of life. As a member, you have the right to:   receive the Association’s newsletter; be informed about community affairs; submit requests for consideration to the Executive Board; and vote in annual elections and on Civic Association matters.

If you wish to join the BSVCA, please either purchase membership online or download and complete the BSVCA Membership Application and Renewal Form, and send it to:
