At its discretion, the BSVCA will award annual grants to organizations that provide programs or services that benefit the Brookville-Seminary Valley Community.

Guidelines for Community Grant Application

1. The BSVCA community grant is a one-time award with a maximum value of $500.00.
2. The organization seeking a grant must be non-profit.
3. The organization must serve the Brookville Seminary Valley Community and/or the West End of Alexandria. In some cases such as schools, libraries, and other non-profits serving the West End, services need not be exclusive to Brookville Seminary Valley and the West End.
4. Applications for projects serving a larger number of people will be given priority over those serving a smaller number. For example, a school project intended to serve 50 students would be given priority over an equally worthy school project intended to serve 10 students.
5. The application below must be submitted by March 25, 2011.
6. Applications and all supporting information may be submitted using the form below.
7. A project completion report template will be provided to all awardees and must be submitted within 45 days of the project's intended completion, but no later than January 31, 2012.  The project completion report template may be downloaded by clicking HERE.
8. The following factors are considered in rating projects:
• Localization of service (BSVCA/West End/Alexandria/NoVA)
• Provision of a basic need (food/shelter/employment/education/physical or mental health)
• Whether the applicant has investigated and accessed other available funding.
• Whether the applicant has received BSVCA grant money in the past.
  
• Thorough and timely application with specific budget.
• Proporiton of relative population impacted by program (e.g., a field trip for 50 students as opposed to a field trip for 10 students)
